Filling
ECOFASS filling equipment packs the wine into its liner before it joins a reusable keg, ready for service at the dispenser, from the winegrower to the counter.
Filling
A kegging machine for every type of use
Three models available, from manual to fully automatic filling.
Manual kegging machine
The inverter stand, with optional scale and pump. The simple solution to get started and for small batches.
Semi-automatic kegging machine
The middle ground between the manual inverter stand and an automatic line — contact us for the configuration suited to your volumes.
Automatic kegging machine
On request, we can provide a list of automatic kegging machine manufacturers compatible with Ecofass kegs.
Notes: the keg must be filled upside down. Fill the keg with a pump or directly from a pressurised tank.
Step by step
Filling in five steps.
The user manual's procedure, summarised step by step — the pressure and duration values are the manual's own, downloadable from the practical guides.
Purge the air from the liner
Apply 0.8 bar between the keg and the liner through the gas inlet, then open and close the liquid-side valve while keeping the counter-pressure.

Prepare the line
Connect the head to the disinfected pump — 2.5 bar maximum outlet pressure — and fill the hose until the air bubbles disappear.

Fill with the keg inverted
Filling must be done head down, keeping a constant counter-pressure of 0.8 bar through the air-side vent.

Watch for the end of filling
Allow 2 to 5 minutes. When the counter-pressure drops to 0 bar, close the inlet valve — the volume is checked by weighing the keg.

Finish and secure
Apply a counter-pressure of 2.5 bar, set the keg upright, rinse with water, disinfect the head and fit a tamper-evident cap.
